From 2020, teams representing cities in Sri Lankan will compete in the Lanka Premier League. The league was started by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) in 2018. Veteran cricketer and commentator Russell Arnold will be the Director of the Lanka Premier League in August 2020. Ravin Wickramaratne will be the Vice President of Sri Lanka Cricket.
