Star India has raised Rs. 1 million by charging Rs. 1 million for a 10-second advertisement aired during the 2019 Vivo IPL, which has resulted in a 20% increase in Star India's prices this year.
Star India has said that the increase in the number of TV viewers watching the IPL this year is due to the fact that the IPL matches are being held outside India with the Covid-19 epidemic
This year's IPL will be telecast in 8 languages in English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam, Telugu on 27 Star India TV channels including Star Sports and 'Disney + Hotstar' OTT
Dream 11, Amazon, Byju's, PhonePe are the main sponsors and Mutual Funds of India, Gillette, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Sunfeast, Coca-Cola, Polycab, Rummycircle, Kamla Pasand Masala, McDowell's are among the co-sponsors of this year's IPL. Has partnered with Star India for advertising.
